From 10 to 14 April 2013, Mercedes-Benz Classic is making the exclusive history of the S-Class and its pioneering innovations the main focus of its brand presentation at the 25th Techno Classica in Essen. The world’s oldest car manufacturer will be presenting its exhibits at the largest international trade fair for classic vehicles on a stand covering 4500 square metres in hall 1 of the Essen Exhibition Grounds.
29.03.2013 – Honda has developed an accident avoidance support system called City-Brake Active System.
The City-Brake Active System operates when the vehicle is travelling at speeds of less than 30km/h*. It uses a laser radar installed in the upper part of the windscreen to detect when a collision is imminent. If the City-Brake Active System identifies** a high risk of collision it will issue audio and visual warnings to the driver. If the driver does not take action to avoid the collision then the system will automatically apply the brakes. mehr »
Affalterbach March 28, 2013 – The customer sports program of Mercedes-AMG will take an active part in the 2013 racing year all over the globe. The SLS AMG GT3 will moreover start in the US for the first time. In the 2013 motorsports season, the race version of the gullwing car will take part in more than 22 race series on five continents.
The German team H.T.P. Motorsport will enter three SLS AMG GT3 into the new FIA GT World. Seyffarth Motorsport will participate in the race series as well.
Signatech-Alpine’s busy March programme concluded with a two-day test session at Circuit Paul Ricard, France. Following the announcement of Alpine’s return to endurance racing at Le Mans on March 8, and after the N°36 prototype’s official unveiling at L’Atelier Renault, Paris, on March 22, the new car finally got to make its track debut on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. mehr »
Renault and Ross Lovegrove will unveil a concept-car at the Triennale of Milano April 8th at 12:00, a new creation that underline Renault’s Design strategy.
Renault and Lovegrove Studio collaboration to explore new design languages. By examining nature, its systems and energy transactions this project intends to bring awareness and understanding of those phenomena and their current impact.
Working with contemporary computational design, Ross Lovegrove and his studios intension is to reveal natures underlying blueprints and transfer them into a new design language.
The concept-car will be on exhibition at the Triennale of Milan from April 9th to 14th.
The Renault-powered Lotus F1 Team E21 of Kimi Raikkonen has taken the first win of the 2013 season following a scintillating Australian Grand Prix. The 2007 world champion started from seventh on the grid and used a clever pit stop strategy to secure victory by more than 12 seconds over Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso. Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel finished in third overall in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing, putting two Renault-engined drivers onto the podium. mehr »
